Q.
What information does City-Link Network capture about
visitors to its web site?
A. What information does City-Link Network capture about
visitors to its web site? The web-server stores a list
of visits to the server. We use this list to assess
which are the most popular sections of our site and to
assist us in improving the navigation and contents. This
file, called an access-log file, records some very basic
information: the date and time of visit; what pages of
our site the visitor looked at; referring address
(location from which a visitor comes to
www.citylinkglobal.com); type of web browser; and the
visitor’s IP address. This log file cannot identify the
visitor’s e-mail address or any other personal
information.
